Indeed, why spend money and time to go somewhere out of the country if there are lots of wonderful places here? My friends, as I mentioned, like to have their holidays in Alaska, a natural state in the North of America. In general, camping in the natural wilderness of the national parks has become so popular that my friends complain about the crowds. They say that there are definitely more campers than camp sites in the United States. It sounds ridiculous bit it is true. I also prefer outdoor camping because it costs so little money and offers so much pleasure. Last summer I spend my holidays in Florida. It was amazing! Lots of attractions attract the majority of visitors not only from America but also from other countries. I visited World Disney Park and had a terrific time. Be sure to see me in the crocodile farm feeding those dangerous creatures. They impressed me greatly. Choosing a place for a holiday depends on money one affords to spend and time he possesses in order to have a good rest. But America is a huge country and there are a great number of historical parks, memorials and national monuments to be visited. If someone is interested in the nation’s history and culture, it is reasonable to spend holidays attending such interesting spots. Many people while visiting such places can feel proud of being an American citizen.
When my sister and I were kids, we used to spend our summer holidays at summer camps. We had so much to do that I had no time to be bored. There were lots of activities there: study of animals, hiking, swimming and boating. In addition, we could learn much about nature that was very enjoyable. Instructors taught children to do some crafts like wood carving or leather working. By the way, it was at that camp I met a new friend from Brazil. I appreciate our friendship so much.
As for my parents, they don’t go either in America or to other countries on their holidays – they just stay home to work in the garden, play with a dog, visit relatives and friends – in other words, simply relax. So, people are various and have various plans and habits.
